Woven on an electronic jacquard loom, this fabric is composed of  layers. Made up of 6 different weft yarns,  woven structures were programmed on the software Pointcarre. Mesh was zonally programmed to reveal sections of digitized drawings. This textile utilizes twill and satin structures, as well as polyester, rayon, and wool yarn.  The overall effect is a concept driven jacquard woven that utilizes complex textile structures to convey different motifs.
CONCEPT
Technically and visually this jacquard was inspired by the designer's sensory memory of a childhood experience. As a child my mother would tell me to "look up at the crows" when washing my hair. Initial drawings were done of this animal to abstract it into a tangible visual experience. Other aspects included brainstorming different structural and functional elements. Ultimately both merged to form the final output.
